Recognition and Compliance

Written plainly so you know exactly what this programme is, and what it is not, before you pay for it.

Non-accredited professional development. Not nationally recognised training and not an AQF qualification. Assessment is by knowledge check with a 70% pass mark, and completion is evidenced by a Certificate of Completion.

1. What this programme is

Compound Skin Academy delivers non-accredited continuing professional development for skincare advisers, dermal and beauty therapists, nurses, pharmacy staff and students who recommend cosmeceutical skincare but do not diagnose, prescribe or compound.

The Academy is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and is not registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). We therefore do not, and cannot, issue nationally recognised training. Nothing we award is an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification, a statement of attainment, or a unit of competency.

  • We issue a Certificate of Completion, which evidences that you completed and passed our assessments.
  • We do not use the words "accredited" or "nationally recognised", and we do not display the Nationally Recognised Training logo.
  • We do not claim endorsement by ASQA, AHPRA, the TGA, or any professional association.

2. The frameworks we work to

Although the programme sits outside the accredited VET system, it is designed and documented against the same principles that framework uses, so it can be assessed on its merits by an employer, insurer, professional association or an RTO considering recognition.

  • Stated learning outcomes for every module, published on the course page before you enrol.
  • Assessment mapped to those outcomes, with a stated method and a stated pass mark.
  • Every knowledge check in all 17 courses must be passed at 70% or above.
  • A durable record of participation: lessons completed, every knowledge check score, the date of completion and the certificate issued.
  • Content reviewed against peer-reviewed literature, with a citation on every reading lesson so a reviewer can check the source.
  • Materials revised as evidence and regulation change, with your completed record retained across revisions.

3. Assessment and pass mark

Assessment is by multiple-choice knowledge check across every course. Answers are graded on our server, not in your browser, and the pass mark is 70%. Your best score is retained.

One final programme certificate becomes available only after all reading lessons across all 17 courses are complete and every knowledge check is passed at 70% or above. The final Scope and Claims Acknowledgement opens after full programme completion.

4. Records we keep

So that a completion can be verified years later, we retain your name and any licence or registration number you supply, the version of the agreement you signed and the date you signed it, each lesson completion, each knowledge check score, and the identifier of every certificate issued. Certificates can be checked by any third party on our verification page. Retention periods are set out in the Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising, claims and scope

Our teaching is written to comply with the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code and, for learners who are registered health practitioners, with the advertising obligations in the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and AHPRA's advertising guidelines.

One full module is devoted to permitted language: describing what an ingredient does, without making therapeutic claims, guaranteeing an outcome, using before-and-after imagery inappropriately, or offering testimonials about a regulated product. The signed acknowledgement records that you accept those limits.

  • The programme does not qualify you to diagnose, assess, prescribe, compound or dispense.
  • It does not change the training, registration, insurance or supervision requirements of your own occupation.
  • You remain responsible for practising within your licence and the law where you work.

6. Credit, recognition and future accreditation

Some employers, insurers and professional associations accept non-accredited professional development towards their own annual requirements. Whether ours is accepted is their decision, not ours — confirm it with them before you enrol if that matters to you, and we will supply your record of completion on request.

If credit within an accredited qualification is ever offered, it will be through a partnership with a Registered Training Organisation that issues the accredited component, or through course accreditation obtained by the Academy. Neither is in place today, and we will not imply otherwise.

7. Feedback and complaints

If you believe a lesson is inaccurate, a claim is overstated, or the assessment was unfair, write to support@compoundskinacademy.com. We acknowledge within five business days, review the material against its cited sources, and tell you the outcome. Where a lesson is corrected, the revision is applied for every learner.
