Version 1.1 · Effective 13 September 2026
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Compound Skin Academy website, your account and your enrolment in the programme. They sit alongside the Terms, Conditions and Clinical Disclaimers you sign before course materials open.
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, requesting enrolment or using the Compound Skin Academy platform ("the Academy") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
We may update these terms as the programme changes. Each version carries a version number, and the version you agreed to is recorded against your account. Where an update materially affects your rights we will ask you to agree again.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate details when registering, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
- One account per person — accounts must not be shared between practitioners or clinic staff.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account.
- We may suspend or close an account where details are false, where access is shared, or where these terms are breached.
3. Enrolment, fees and payment
Enrolment in the full programme is by approval. You submit a request, and once approved you receive bank transfer details for the one-off fee shown on the enrolment page at the time of your request. Course materials open once the transfer is confirmed by the Academy, or immediately if a valid referral code is applied.
Fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Approval is at the Academy's discretion; a submitted request is not a guarantee of a place.
- Referral codes grant free access, may be limited in number of uses, and may be withdrawn or deactivated at any time before redemption.
- Access granted through a referral code or an administrator grant carries the same terms as paid access.
- Where a transfer cannot be matched to your account, we may ask you for the receipt or reference before opening access.
4. Refunds and cancellation
Because access to the full written programme is granted immediately on confirmation, refunds are not offered once course materials have been opened, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or other law that applies to you.
If you paid but access was never opened, or the programme is withdrawn before you begin, contact us and we will refund the fee in full to the account it came from.
5. Licence to use the materials
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to read the course materials and use them in your own professional development for as long as your account remains in good standing.
- You may not copy, republish, resell, share or upload the materials, in whole or in part, to any other person, platform or training programme.
- You may not use the materials to create a competing course, nor use them to train an automated or machine-learning system.
- Certificates of Completion are issued to you personally and must not be altered or presented as a qualification, registration or licence.
- All intellectual property in the platform and materials remains with the Academy or its licensors.
6. Recognition status of the programme
The Academy delivers non-accredited continuing professional development. It is not a Registered Training Organisation, it is not registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority, and it does not issue nationally recognised training or any qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
What you receive on completion is a Certificate of Completion evidencing the lessons you completed and the knowledge checks you passed at the stated pass mark of 70%. Whether an employer, insurer or professional association accepts it towards their own requirements is their decision, and you should confirm that with them before enrolling if it matters to you. The Recognition and Compliance statement sets out our learning outcomes, assessment method and record-keeping in full.
7. Educational purpose and no clinical advice
All content is educational. It is not medical, pharmaceutical or legal advice, it does not create a practitioner relationship, and it does not authorise you to diagnose, prescribe, compound or dispense. You remain solely responsible for practising within your licence and the law of your jurisdiction. The signed Terms, Conditions and Clinical Disclaimers set out these obligations in full.
8. Availability and changes to the programme
We aim to keep the platform available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Lessons, references and courses may be added, revised or retired as evidence and regulation change, and your completed learning record is retained when they are.
9. Acceptable use
When using the platform you must not:
- Attempt to gain access to accounts, administrative tools or data that are not yours.
- Interfere with the platform's security, scrape it in bulk, or circumvent access controls or payment.
- Submit false professional details, or content that is unlawful, misleading or infringing.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Academy is not liable for any loss arising from your professional practice, from decisions you make about a client or patient, or from any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, and where we are permitted to limit our liability it is limited to the fee you paid for access.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access where these terms are breached, where professional details are false, or where the law requires it. You may stop using the platform at any time and ask us to close your account; records we must keep for legal or certification reasons are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@compoundskinacademy.com.
The version of this document you agreed to is recorded against your account when you request enrolment.
